THE iDOLM@STER Limited Edition

Fourth post! And now for something a lil different. As some of you may know, I’m a huge fan of THE iDOLM@STER, except for that Xenoglossia garbage. Anyway, when I heard iDOLM@STER was coming for the Xbox360 I was ecstatic, trembling with anticipation, skipping a heart beat, having an euphoric fit, you get the idea.

Long story short, I ordered the game through Play-Asia, but I had to camp the store as they were taking orders as first come first serve. A friend and I agreed to camp together, calling the other guy on mobile when one of us saw the pre-orders being open, no matter what time of the day (or night).

The Play-Asia box

19th January 2007, the date of receiving my package from the UPS man. For such a special occasion I decided to document the opening of my box, some what like a memory in which I can save and re-view later, either to glow in the joyful reminisce, or to clench my chest as I remember how much I bought it for, a total of AU$314.26, THREE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN SHINIES!!! shipping included. Not quite over nine thousand but getting there.

One of the things that I found amusing about the Xbox360 game, was that they loved their boxes. To get my grubby hands on the iDOLM@STER game DVD, I had to go through a series of boxes, each more cunning than the next. First up was the Play-Asia box pictured first, then the white box with a Microsoft sticker pictured above, then the game box itself, pictured below:

Finally, the game itself

With the huge Xbox sized limited edition pack, came a small case labelled “THE iDOLM@STER Special Movies at TGS 2006”. A nice lil surprise :3

Here are some shots of the box itself:

The visible floor in my room was totally taken up by the iDOLM@STER items, it was like beating the crap out of a pinata and feasting on the goodies that hide within. Yummy~!

Closer look

Onto the “trading” figures, god only knows why would anyone want to trade these, they’re HORRIBLE! My senses are telling me that Yujin are behind in this, either them or Megahouse, as they’ve released iDOLM@STER figures in the past with low quality craftsmanship.

Just look at Makoto~! @_@

By FAR Iori looks the most twisted and contorted beyond recognition, I dare not take a full shot of her as I’m afraid my lens might snap (in truth I’m too lazy…). I’m looking forward to the new Alter series of the trading figures, should of gotten them to do the iDOLM@STER Limited Edition set as well…

Purdy Miki

The saving grace was the special DVD with interviews and such and the visualbook that has a nice selection of Miki art, and also artwork of the previous M@STERPIECE soundtracks.

And here ya go, the whole set, character board, visualbook, sticker, special DVD, the other special DVD, Xbox360 faceplate, figure stage stand, 11 (oh lol) figures.

The lot!
